COVID-19 Policy


Currently there are no mandates in place that must be fulfilled prior to attending the conference. However, public health is constantly evolving and maintaining a safe environment for delegates and other attendees is top priority. As such, our COVID-19 health and safety measures are subject to change as Jackson Model United Nations reserves the right to implement new health and safety measures, including but not limited to instituting a vaccination or masking requirement for all attendees, at any time before or during the conference.



Refund Policy


No refunds will be given unless the conference does not occur or cancellation arises from medical issues, force majeure, government regulations prohibiting the event from taking place, or other circumstances arising beyond reasonable control. Refunds will be honored upon full cancellation of the event; full cancellation does not include postponement of the event. Cases will be reviewed on an individual basis.



Technology Policy


During all seminar and committee sessions, the use of cellular devices is strongly discouraged. It is expected that cellular devices will be turned off or placed in silent mode unless extraneous circumstances arise, in which the delegate is permitted to use their device although conduct should not disrupt committee. The distribution of explicit, suggestive, or disruptive materials regarding delegates or official committee platforms and proceedings will result in the Secretariat being notified immediately and potential removal from the conference. Delegates are encouraged to collaborate on draft resolutions using Google Docs; the Secretariat and Staff however, will not provide any personal information about delegates as this must be authorized under individual discretion.



Privacy Policy


Jackson Model United Nations will not collect any data regarding website usage or website users through its website, or the API fulfilling its requests during nominal operation. When an error is detected, the Jackson Model United Nations Engineering Team and Secretariat is alerted, but the information is anonymized. To provide the most useful and timely information leading up to the conference, Jackson Model United Nations does record basic contact methods and analytics using the website and delegate registration form. However, this data is never transferred to a third party, and any recipient may unsubscribe from the Jackson Model United Nations email list by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each outreach email. Additionally, Jackson Model United Nations does not track transactional emails sent to confirm a delegate or delegate’s registration or inform them of their assigned position. Jackson Model United Nations reserves the right to modify this policy at any time. Any questions regarding this policy should be directed to the Secretary-General at [email protected].
